BABYLON: THE LOST TALES UPDATE

PLAY give lots of details of it dont they lol.

www.firstones.com or something like that usually gives quite a lot of info and has a link to JMS's website on it which has some good pics.

Darn. Can't preorder from play.com :-(

Seems they for some bizare reason wants landline phone number. If I'm not mistaken that's the old non-mobile phone right? Great. Just great. Nobody in my family has that anymore...No phone number, can't register.

Ah well. Have to patiently wait for some other store to put it on advance order(I want it ASAP :D). Waiting is hard

And for the Yanks:

Or put your work number or something, it doesnt really matter that much! By the way if you dont have a landline at all how are you able to use the internet? I didnt know you could get a line that was internet only without a phone at all :?

Anyway, I will just add I wouldn't rely on Play.com's release date, theyre pretty good usually but tend to throw dates out there which are really just best guesses for products a fair way off release (as is likely the case here).

I don't think we have phone number. Line yes but no phone. And anyway GPRS through mobile connection is primary method to connect to internet anyway.

Anyway play.com delivers it only to UK. 2 months too late release for me then.

Well given that the script lisyt is mentioning them for Region 2 preorders, chances are they gave play.com a release date to work with.

LBH

I wouldnt be so sure of that LBH. As an example they had a listed release date and preorder options for the game 'Stargate: The Alliance', about 9 months ahead of the date they listed and that game was cancelled in the end. It hadnt even got to alpha stage as I understand it and certainly didnt have an accurate release date that far off.

Play are USUALLY pretty good but I'd be a tad wary of preordering anything THAT far in advance.

But why would play put a date up if they didn't have one, and surely the script site people would check it for them when they referred the link?

The real pain is why is R1 getting kit so much before R2!?

LBH

Given that we currently get more than $2 to the £1, I may just go ahead and order them from the US. My player can handle all regions anyway. :D

Well it's $7 bucks shipping to the UK from amazon, I'll wait 3 month ands get it cheaper, it's only £10 for the R2 version and avod the chance of import duty.

Just in time for me to go to Europe  .

Blast this damn, dirty economy...

I know the feeling. I miss when I could go to Canada and get $2 there for every $1 here. While our dollar still has a higher value if I remember correctly, it's not 2 to 1 anymore.

Some DVD-Extras are online:

Thanks. I enjoyed them. After viewing them though, I watched several other B5-themed vids. The one of the Shadows and Vorlons fighting reminded me of a contradiction in which way was really the "front" on a Shadow vessel. Right at the start of the video it shows the Shadow force moving with the largest "legs" facing toward the apparent direction of movement. Later when a Shadow ship turns around and fires, its weapon beam source erupts from the other end of the ship, where I would think it should have. The only way to justify the apparent inconsistancy would be that the "camera" was sliding past the ships the opposite way at the beginning of the sequence, but when you see the fighters they are moving from right to left as well. I remember seeing this and have wondered if it was a CGI mistake. There also might have been other sequences throughout the series where I also noticed the Shadow ships moving "backwards" as well. Has anyone else noticed this?

I think Shadows can travel any way they want..

With an answer like that, I'd have added a few laughing emoticons. My only answer might be a sketch of Lorien as a motorcycle policeman giving a Shadow a traffic ticket for displaying youthful but hazardous exuberance.
