B5 Model

Fenix

Mongoose
I was looking at the B5 model, and it looks rather out of scale with the other models. Are plans in the works to enlarge this, or is it perhaps a quirk of the photograph?

If you want something a little more to scale, try to get the old B5 plastic kit - it´s big enough to be impressive, but not too big to be used in a game

The Mongoose B5 is about as impressive as a lump of rotting spoo!

:D

Yeah... I realized that the game is really out of scale (with fighters and such), but I figured that the ships would be in scale with each other.

Stupid me.

The Revell plastic Babylon 5 model is excellent, i have one myself :D
I recommend it for size!
Me too :)

It works perfectly on the gaming table as something you can fly around and still be able to target!

i managed to finally get my hands on one last year, but i'm having problems with getting grey paint which fits in with the decals (any suggestions welcome).

i don't know why i didnt think of using it before, i was actually close to buying on from dancing dryad! thinking about it the fighters probably are the right size. does it really fit in with all the other ships?

It goes better than the Mongoose version, thats for sure! :)

i'm not surprised, 10" to represent 5 miles would make all the other ships tiny.

Yes i know that there is no scale used so please don't start whining at me!

I'm new to A Call To Arms game, but I'm a Babylon 5 fan. I bought some time ago a Babylon 5 pewter replica made by Factory X from US eBay. The station itself is 10" long and station with the stand is about 6,5" tall. In my opinion it looks much cooler than the Revell plastic station. I thought to use it in the game instead of the Moongose version. The one I bought cost $25, but the shipping to Finland cost more than that. They don't manufacture these anymore, but I've seen them sometimes at UK and US eBay's. I've often seen also Revell Babylon 5 station kits at US eBay and they are cheaper.

Well true to scale B5 would be impractical. Though it seems to be even smaller than Orion base which is bit "strange" to say the least.

But ACTA scale is all around the place(unfortunatly).

Are the Mongoose and AOG B5's different sizes? Because I remember the AOG one being less than small. Not huge, but not annoyingly small by any means.

We ought to get Mongoose to release at least the more common space stations in plastic kits a la Revell-Monogram, when they decide to beef up the space stations/satellites area of the game :)
