B5 Criticals

In the second edition of Babylon 5 ACTA, with the Fleet book and P&P, was there a rule that changed criticals on large ships? I seem to remember there was something that did, but can't find the reference.

There is an optional Redundancy rule in P+P where a ship can ignore a number of crits per turn based on its PL

so raid 1, Battle 2, War 4 and armageddon 5
