And sorry to steal your thunder; I actually waited about 5 minutes after reading the e-mail before posting. Do you know that expression of glee that every child gets on Christmas when basking in the glow of a Christmas tree at 5am Christmas day? My jubilation was somewhere around there, and like any young child, I just couldn't wait.
That, and also knowing that I didn't make $10,000 worth of orders from TSG, so obviously someone else out there was getting that e-mail, so its not like it was a little secret.

Though it does mean I can eventually build up the smaller fleets I have to more respectable levels at some point, though my Centauri are way past respectable now and border on the ridiculous. I take comfort in knowing that regardless how much I spent over the last few months there are at least a couple people who I know have overall spent far more than I ever did. Yes, I'm talking to you, dag'karlove ;-).
Another positive thing is that this means some fleets with ships I think look very cool, but aren't up to par with others fleets with regard to rules may indeed get official updates (I'm thinking Abbai here) sometime in the future to make them more playable.

We can but hope for these things. I personally want to see all the canon ships not just usuable but desirable. Not over the top and broken, but decent ships.

I don't want to see them above par, but competitive, so you have to think about what you'll choose - do I take the canonical Primus, or the advanced Dargan or Liati? They're all useful! That's how you should think...

Some are there, the Sharlin, for isntance, I think performs well. The Omega is decent, but not great. The G'quan is considered a waste. Also, having these ships strong at their PL isn't going to mean thats all you take. They still need their support. The G'Quan, for instance, if it was made a better long range hard hitter (what its roll LOOKS like it should be, but it lacks) with its secondaries left lacking, it would still need an escort to protect it when things came to that middle ground.

Well I have to say I'm literally jumping for joy!!!
I never had the cash when all of the mini's vanished so I've been left without a fleet!!

I guess I really should try and get at least one of these fleets built before the minis come back on sale...
It's good to know though that when there is more that I want that I'll be able to get them eventually
