Avertising

ya, me and a friend of mine are the only ones that play sst and peopl are starting to play bf:evo. before that they had no clue.

They do advertise, not in a mainstream GW fashion. Anyone who is already into wargaming in a sense of reading the popular gaming magazines, going on TMP, going to the biggest shows or even their LGS will know about MGP.
I do not see what more can be done?

Well, considering the evo style games are aimed at bringing more gamers into the fold, it would make sense. I for one don't fit into any of the categories Rob mentioned. I kind of stumbled on Mongoose by accident, looking for SST stuff.

You can always do more advertising, the question is would it be cost effective?

I think this is an important point. I found mongoose via its Babylon 5 licence, ACTA is the first and so far only wargame I’ve owned and I probably wouldn’t have paid any attention to advertising for example BF:EVO if I saw it before this.

Now however I wish I had more money so I could have mighty armies for both games instead of being constrained to only being able to build up my ACTA fleets at the moment.

IMHO I think the money is better spent on good games and mini’s for popular/well known or cult licences as a way to attract new people and spread awareness outside wargaming regulars.
