Atmospheric

Are all ships considered atmospheric or does the ship have to have the atmospheric trait. I am not sure as the only vessels that have the trait are fighters and the Drazi. ( probably others I'm sure) My reason for asking is that in a campaign you roll for planet assault you have to be able to get troops to the planet, and without atmospheric ships you could not do this, and would have to reroll for a different scenario. I am playing the Drakh and want to be sure before proceeding.

Lots of ships have Atmospheric - for instance the entire Shadow fleet so I think yes the only ships that can enter atmospheric are those with the trait? :)

The Brakiri have the Ikorta and Brikorta class ships with the Atmospheric trait. They are Skirmish level. The Centauri have the Vorchan and Demos. White Stars, Blue Stars, Liandra, and Nolo Tar for the IA.

That is just my quick scan thought he fleet list.

Any ship with troops can send 1 troop to the planet per turn. Ships with the Shuttles X trait can send as many troops as they have shuttles per turn. Ships with Atmospheric can land all their troops, and then go strafe enemy emplacements/troops, I believe.

Correct although they cannot land troops and fire in the same turn. Check the main rulebook but basically they have to spend a turn landed doing nothing else IIRC.
