Asseumbly questions

Mongoose
Yay, got my order in. A lot of new ships I've never put together before, most of them are fairly intuitive and easy to figure out. But theres 2 that have my head scratching

Warlock. I'm counting 9 holes for their turrets, but I've got 10 turrets. Is that last one just a spare or am missing a hole somewheres? I got 5 holes on top, and 4 hulls center bottom of the main hull.

Primus. Fins and guns went on easy enough. Now I've got 2 antenna looking thingys left, and I cannot identify where to glue these at; theres nothing that looks even remotely like a slot for them to go into.

Pictures, man!

And I would say you probably do have at least a couple spare pieces. I got 2 extra bridges with my White Stars...

Hiya, for the Primus these 'antennae' should be fitted to the forward tip of the two prongs at the very front of the model which protrude either side of the hanger doors.

My Primus models are original AOG versions and slots are cut for positioning.

Hope this helps

I always assumed those prong/antenae things were lasers on the Primus. But whatever they are, they are now missing from the pictures in the 2nd Ed fleet book. I would leave them off as well, mine have regularly broken off taking paint with them each time. The primus moulds are old and the notch that used to be there for them to sit in is no longer there, (new mould or wear and tear take your pick) which makes them a bugger to glue and a bugger to store safely

I took one look at the prongs that are meant to go on a primus and put them straight to the bits box. They had a "fall off at every possible goddamn opportunity" look to them.

Mongoose does have a habbit of sending extra bits with their models. I've got heaps of centauri twin partical arrays/various EA, turrets. Not that I'm complaining mind you, I'm a "bits box" hoarder from way back.

Finally found some photos showing where the primus antenna bits go. I think I'm going to chuck em in a box and drill some holes for bass wire instead.

Thx for the help.

this is my solution for the Primus front antennas.

Excatly what I was planing to do Urobach.

Got any advice for holding the mini steady enough to actually drill the hole without snapping the bit? Got access to small machine in essence, with drill press, vices etc.
