Areas outside Europe for Hawkmoon

Swampy

Mongoose
I would like to see a book or books covering areas outside Europe such as Afric and Amarehk. Maybe even asiacommunista.

Publishing Hawkmoon sourcebooks for areas travelled by Hawkmoon himself (extracting all informations from the books and write it down as a background book, adding more details for logically filling the gaps) is useful.

But publishing sourcebooks for areas not covered in the books, except mentioning their names is not useful at all.

If we could get the original author of that setting, Michael Moorcock, to give us more informations (if he has any in mind) that would be fantastik, but a book written entirely by Mongoose authors, based upon NOTHING is not a thing i would like to see.
Mongoose authors can only use the same sources as i do: make these things up!

One of the great joys and frustrations of being an Eternal champion gamer is that Mike is a story teller, *not* a world builder. It is an intentional stylistic choice on his part that settings are described only in those details needed for the stories.

This being the case, I think it unlikely that we will learn more from Mike concerning the Tragic Earth outside of Europe.

I would love to see sourcebooks for the rest of Hawkmoon's world. Granted it would all be "made up", but that doesn't bother me. Everything in RPGs is made up. The question is who does the making up?

With a game like Hawkmoon that has to remain true to a litterary background in order to remain satisfying this can be a complicated issue.

I believe that one of the issues with the Chaosium Elric license was that they strayed too far from Mike's vision. certainly I found some of the elements in the games to be quite far removed from the stories.
