Are the forums getting busier/slower?

I'm noticing a lot of lag when accessing the forums, no noticeable lags accessing other sites.

Anyone else noticing this or is it just me?

I visit just about everyday LBH and have not experienced any lag time or problems with the forum.

They have been slow at times for me, but not overly bad.

I thought it was me and did a clear of my cache and cleared the cookies and it seemed to have helped.

I'll look into this - no slowdown from our end, though.

Traffic _has_ increased recently - over the past quarter alone, more than 2,000 extra visits per day. . .

nah I've noticed it LBH, a lot worse when using firesfox as well.

Well they've done some tehnical jiggery pokery now, we'll see if that fixes it.

Still seems pretty slow to me. I know it's not on my end because I have a 7MB connection. Not sure where the lag would be if it's not server-based. Maybe Mongoose's ISP is having problems?

There definitely has been, and still is, a speed problem on Mongoose's end.

Yup. still pretty clunky and laggy for me too.

I've noticed it here. I've also noticed it elsewhere. My own pirate reenacting forum was experiencing huge lags about two months ago. I'm not sure how long it lasted, maybe a month. Utterly frustrated, I did some surfing on the phpbb forums, and discovered some others were having similar experiences. I wrote to my provider, they said, "yes, your site does seem slow, but it's not on our end." Not long thereafter things picked back up.

It's a mystery...
