Anything else in the pipeline???

Out of curiosity, would anyone be interested in more special forces stuff? I worked out OOB's, unit details, and weapons/vehicles for the Minbari, Centauri, Narn, League, and Oreni when I was writing the EA Factbook Special forces section and the S&P article. I drafted articles but never got around to finishing them. Is it worth dusting them off again?

Matt

That would be very cool to see especially especially the Orieni stuff.

The same for me , but not only about the Orieni  .

Some time ago , I wrote a lot of stuff for my campaign (new weapons , new rules...) , and I eventually tried to write an unofficial supplement (the Anla'Shok guide to weapons & armour of known space-2284 ed.) , but RL and my poor english prevented me from doing just that ...

I myself tried to do a Conspiracy of Shadows thing that talked about the various EarthGov related shadow influenced organizations but the fact that I can't do stats and stuff has limited me in doing it. :(

I think I sent a draft for submission to Signs & Portents but never heard anything about it, mind you i've been kind of busy as well so never chased it down either :?

The Gaim issue, such as it is, was largely brought about by having my time eaten up by getting specific other books ready for games shows (very important), getting books ready for the new printers in the Staes (very time consuming and incredibly important) and helping ensure Mongoose Hall 08 in little over a week will be properly supported by traders, clubs and nearby FLGSs (Again eating up time and quite important as well). (Essentially my workload in the last coulpe of months has been insane!)

I have just about done the very last bit of Dara Happa Stirs for RuneQuest (started before Gaim!), Spinward Marches is mostly there now and I am keeping up with Mercenary. After the next couple of weeks my schedule frees up significantly and I hope to be able to make real progress on Gaim again shortly after this.

As a note I should say out of all the recent B5 books we have done personally I look at Gaim and it is the one I want to see in print and in my hands. I am determined to see this one through as quickly as I can manage.

Well then, time to get my butt in gear. One of the nice things for the Orieni in particular is that they had their ground forces fairly well fleshed out by the old HRT but it never got published. Wait until you see their air transport assets for the Elite Strike forces out of the army regulars. . .

The Minbari article is about 85% done, just need to finish stats and I can submit it. Centauri is at about 40%, Narn at 25%, Orieni and League just an outline with a ton of notes.

Any thoughts on which League races you are going to write on? I'm assuming its going to be Drazi, Abbai and Brakiri. Don't think the Gaim have any need for special forces and not sure if the Yolu or Hyach would be open to the idea of special forces since one is a dying race and the other only fights when they need to.

It's all conjectural, obviously, as it's still getting kicked around but I had units from 8 different League races in the mix, with the League doing a lot of specialization and cross-coverage at the elite level. Gaim would be fascinating and I certainly have ideas for specific castes but I won't touch them until the Gaim book comes out as that'll be the template for the race's characteristics.

Truthfully, the League was developed mostly to interact with the big 4 and help drive their structure. I've probably got less than 4-5 pages of notes for their units and it'll require a lot of fleshing out.

OTOH, I also worked out the intelligence services for the groups as well; somewhere I have a ~75% article on the EA intelligence services that I shelved. Probably dig that out one of these days as well. I could fly through these things if it wasn't for the equipment and weapons stats. . .
:( not a major strength of mine. . .

Cool, I am interested on the take on the Orieni namely because there has only been brief mentions of them and the Minbari due to the nature of their society though I'm sure the Centauri and Narns as well as the League will be interesting to see.

Im doing the EA Fact book at the moment, as well as others. but its finding the time to get it done between finding a job, painting commitions etc.

One of the things that makes the Orieni easier is that Jamie, Graves et al worked out a tremendous amount of backstory and structure for them that never made it into the AoG books. There are some holes but overall there's a tremendous amount of useful material to jump off of.

I'm making use of that material for the Centauri-Orieni War fanfic I'm writing and posting on http://forum.spacebattles.com/showthread.php?t=128108 but more is always good.

Oh yeah, Bureau 13 has about a third of a page.
