Either order #2 or #3 hit UPS Canada Customs today.

I'll be glad never to have to deal with UPS after this is all over I can tell you that.

You should try the UK postal service that sucks as well, 14 days to send a package to Kettering recorded delivery.

It's not the time.. it's the $20-30 brokerage fee. Canada Post charges around a $3 fee to handle customs.

The absolute best is when it's a $18 brokerage fee on $4 duty.

Unless it gets inspected in which case they get done for fraud, smuggling, tax evasion or something.

Unlike the post which doesn't seem to care really.. UPS has a vested interest in opening/examining/taxing all the packages. Let's just say Brokerage is to UPS what Extended Warranties are to Electronics retailers.

At least getting it delivered to my work got UPS to call me about it so it's not a surprise (since we don't get tracking numbers for our orders).

Anyway, only 1 more order to go.

Gotta love paying more in fees than for the product.

I also like the s/h on some sites when you are just short of their 'free shipping' amount. I've had orders that are like $85 that become $98ish after s/h from sites that have $99 orders = free s/h. So I just buy something else for $15

I once bought a 12 pence resistor when I bought a £99.99 500 GB external Hard Drive so I could use a £10 off voucher only valid if I spent over £100.
