anyone's "panic buys" off mongoose arrived yet?

Ahh, you're both right, the fighter swap rules have been altered so that any Starfury flight can be swapped for any other Starfury.

Unlike the other eras it doesn't specify that only Aurora Furies can be swapped.

Think I'll likely just stick with using Furies and T'bolts. Though I think my 3rd Age fleet might need more than 72 flights if I go all out on ships I can field.

But you know the cheapest way to by Starfuries is to buy a Poseidon box, which means you will never have enough fighters to fill all of your ships. :D

No, dedication is actually doing it, took me 6 hours just to gather the data on what I own. Now I still need to do the analysis to decide what I want to buy. That's tomorrow's fun job.

LBH

I don't know anyone else who first 'gathers data' on their miniatures, then runs an analysis on them :)
I keep a complete database on the ships I own, ships I have assembled/painted and ships I have ordered, work out fleets at the PL that I want to collect them to (also fleets at lower PLs so I have options), look at what ships I need to fill the gaps then buy them.

Would this be similar?

Of course, LBH wouldn't need the information on ships being assembled/painted :P

Something to think about - when we start covering the Dilgar War, those other Starfury types suddenly become very relevant. . .

Oh great, just received an email telling me that my paypal payment has been cancelled, looks like the bank transfer didn´t arrive in time... now I´ll have to go to my bank tomorrow and start asking some questions, or if the money has already been sent out sort out with paypal how to get my money back (I´ve been told that my payment can no longer be finalized, guess I´ll have to reorder then...)

Dammit, all I want is a few ships as long as they´re available, one would think that shouldn´t be too hard!? :?

Got mine through the post yesterday, but was quite busy so didn't have much time to start work on them. So here's to a new and glorious Centari fleet :!: with reinforcments coming payday :P
(Only thing i'm not enjoying is the flash removal from the Primus's  )

Not according to the current website prices, the Poseidon box set is 80 pence dearer than 4 packs of Furies

But yes, it is an infinite loop. I got one Poseidon as it was pretty before the box set came out, then I got the box set as a cheap way to get Furies.

It would indeed be similar, although that much detail would be a job for when I have even more time.

I'll be posting my inventory up later on another thread, lookking for advice on what to get to fill out my fleets.

I'd appreciate any insight you could give me Triggy after I post it.

Thanks in advance

But there's no WS in the Dilgar War, I'll just proxy with Aurora Fury counters, until you bring out 2E counters with Tigers.

Well I've just realised my Tethys are now only useful as allies to my ISA or as an Early fleet, if I want to field an early fleet I'll need some Tigers.

LBH

I use Tethys models as civilian patrol ships for later eras. You can always use your Auroras as Novas (can't tell the difference at that scale) and proxy the Tigers with Thunderbolts.

No problem, anything I can do to help (unless it involves giving you tactics when you're playing me!)

Only when I'm serving under you Admiral

Here's the thread

Anyone's advice is welcome and indeed desired.
