Character Creation
Gazetteer
Skills
Equipment
Combat
Adventuring
Sorcery
I guess the standard equipment from Legend and A&E of Legend would deal with the Equipment section. Any specific armour or weapon types that aren't currently covered?
I can't see much different that needs to be done for combat. What sort of extra skills might be needed, the archetypical storytelling of Scheherazade is already covered?
A gazetteer covering Islamic empires from Spain to the Spice Islands and southern Russia to Madagascar.
A set of combat styles for various types of adventurers, presumably Frankish, African. Islamic, Indian, and Chinese.
Sorcery/Magic will be the big chunk I think. Demon/Djinn summoning will be a must and I think Alchemy will be big but probably not a PC skill. Enchantment will be something that will be needed for magic carpets and genie containing lamps, but I think that rules for binding a demon into an object are already available - possibly not as OGL though.
I think you should define your goals more clearly Mage, exactly what background and what period and what degree of fantasy/reality, then define what roles you require and assign them to those who indicate an aptitude or enthusiasm.Mage said:Like the title says, does anyone want to do a group project for Legend. It could be a co-operative thing here on the forum.
I like the idea of doing an 'Arabian Night's Legend if anyone wants to join together to do such a thing.

PM warlock1971, as a project manager he will be able to advise you on how to structure your aims and what to request from those who wish to participate.
Start a private wiki and see what contributions you get.
Otherwise you will get numerous "I don't fancy that idea", "I'd rather do this thing" responses.
Good luck on the project, I may even jump in if I get the chance and the time
Matt.

Nearly all fantasy games i run are home brew, simple because i enjoy doing that, so i have no problem creating cultures/societies/cults/orders and even my own races. I also like to put my own spin on fantasy races, and generally try to avoid the standard clichés of any race unless there is a very good reason for them.
I am just about happy to be involved in any creative process for this, though the above are the 'bits' i am best at.
