Anyone up for an online game?

The game is open to anyone who wants to join in. Initialy a character desciption and concept is enough to get the ball rolling, but I will need a character sheet before I need to start dice rolling.

I will be running the game as much 'by the book(s)' as posible without 'house rules' to make matters simple.

I will allow scholars, the level set does not allow a scholar to use the DB & opportunistic sacrifice combo much complained about.

because online games tend to be slower than real-life, progression is much slower so don't rely on gaining level bonuses, you will be playing the character as is for a long time.

The more people play the longer things take, we have to allow for people in different time-zones and then I need to resolve stuff and post results, so I feel that the number of players needs to be restricted. I am not going to set an absolute value. If we get too many players then I guess we might need a second G.M.

OK, I'll be sending you my character sheet after work.

How do you interpret the ambiguous intricate swordplay feat? If I use that ability and wield an arming sword, what can I have in my offhand? Would a buckler be OK?

Are we a go on the game? I turned in a character sheet, but was more or less waiting to make sure we had players and if I was included in the group and all before posting the backstory.

I've got my character sheet set up and will post a first post on the game thread when I get home from work.

How many players we got?

I think we will get a game going, I am happy with the character sheets I've seen so far so feel free to post on the game thread. I want to keep house rules to a minimum and will only use them when absoultely neccessary.

IT may take a short time to get the game up and running so I am planning a shortish first adventure so that we can accept more players at convienient points.

Once we get the game established perhaps the really nice moongose folks will give us a game forum in the 'online games' section. I'd rather not ask for that before we get some play going.

Good play and an indication of comittment (from me) should encourage people to join in.

Oh and the campaign is called "Legends of Zamora"

I don't find the feat particulaarly ambiguous, you must use your prefered weapon (arming sword) in one hand, this does not prevent you from having a buckler or smaller weapon in the other. I would rule that you use the arming sword for all attacks but I guess that is what you intend anyway. I think the wording is to prevent the feat bieng used with huge double handed weapons which makes sense.

I am about to move the online game on so if there is anyone who still wants to join in you will need to get your character sheet (or concept, name.race) to me quickly. I will keep the first episode fairley short so that there will be oportunities to enter the game soon.

Once I take the party on from the VERY SLOW initial meeting I won't have the chance for new characters to join up.

I guess we will see how we get on over the holiday period, play might be sporadic given people will have other things on thier minds but after that I expect the pace to pick up.

I will make announcements when it is possible and convienient to add new players,

To join prepare a character (say in a text document using the editor/word processor of your choice) and then use either the PM or EMAIL link on the bottom of all my posts and copy and paste the text. don't bother about formatting or nice boxes. There are on-line 3e/d20 character sheets to but be wary that they calculate everything correctly for Conan.

I will help if asked, just use the PM or e-mail
