Any cool in game moments lately?

Umm No scared isnt the word. It was called having to work at 2 am The next morning and properly Whooping your A** would have taken at east 3 games. One to Beat the snot out of you the first time. The second for the rematch youd want for your honor and the third for you to realize that there is no hope of defeating me.

We had a game at our club yesterday. I had Centauri; among my ships was a Primus. The other guy had Narn; among his ships were a Dag'Kar and a Sho'Kos.

The Primus had already given the Dag'Kar a dose of battle laser and it wasn't very healthy. Next chance the Primus got, it did it again. The beam did rather well. (*). The Dag'Kar wasn't going to survive anyway, but a catastrophic explosion meant I didn't need to roll on the damage table, it was going "Boom".

The Sho'Kos was just inside the blast radius and really felt the pain. And then the Primus fired its particle array. The Sho'Kos didn't go "Boom" but it didn't go anywhere else either, being now a burning hulk.

OK, so you veterans have probably had better chain reactions than that, but I'm new to this and it was the first time I'd done it. :)

(*) I know from reading this forum that 2nd edition beams often go berserk. But we only have 1st edition, which tends to dampen them a bit.

Just played an Adira vs. Ka'Bin'Tak "we've got these ships but never used them" 1 on 1 game. Among the first round of crits (and they were plentiful) KBT -4 speed and no special actions allowed; Adira -4 speed and no repairs allowed. We were 14" apart. Spent the next few turns drifting 1" a turn while the Narn ship was stationary and failing all repair rolls. Turn 5 or 6 the Adira managed to fix its engines and launched a boarding action on the skeleton crewed KBT.
