Lets say you have a ship that has the Anti-Fighter Trait. An opponent comes roaring in with a bunch of fighters that do have the Shield Trait.
When rolling for "Anti-Fighter" do you ignore the "Shields" trait on an incoming fighter (that's within the required 2" range) and strictly roll against the fighters Hull rating as normal?
The bottom of PG 28 states: "...Anti-Fighter and Advanced Anti-Fighter traits are not counted as weapons for the purposes of these rules and will not be affected by a ship being Crippled or under SA, nor will they be affected by fighter traits such as Stealth."
Does this mean that if a fighter has Shields (a "trait"), that the Shields are ignored when getting shot at by a ship with AF or AAF? Thus standing a much greater chance of killing it?
thanks all Boomer
