FA-scale Shadow Dreadnought, becoming an Ancient Shadow ship in ACTA - gotta love the extra spines :D

More photographs, I charge you!

Also, am I the only one that thinks instead of the "ancient" and "young" Shadow Ships we should have had Shadow Cruisers and Shadow Dreadnoughts?

I think young and ancient are good, it infers that the ship will grow over the millenia to become more powerful.

Maybe that's because they spend a thousand years in the ground. Plant a young shadow ship, water regularly, leave to grow for a millenia - voila an ancient shadow ship!

so no midlife crisis or similar to deal with - truely the pinacle of evolution!
Do you think we need a red coupé shadow ship with go-faster stripes, just for them? ;)

or for anyone who watched Ashes to Ashes last night - "Fire up the Quatro"

Keeley Hawes looked nice :)

I like your ideas - I remember the the Shadow mini coupe from Mroden's secret diary.

I want and angsty emo shadow ship that requires a CC 8 to do what you want or it goes all emo and flies to a corner and talks about how life sucks.

From an old thread:

I think there should be special rules for teenage Shadow ships... :D

Teenage Shadow Ship

Angst: A Teenage Shadow vessel must make a CQ roll at the beginning of each turn - its CQ is 4 by default. If less than 6 is rolled, the vessel will spend that turn doing one of the following (roll a D6):
1 - Major Sulk. The ship claims loudly that no one understands it, and flees into hyperspace to listen to angry music for the next few hours. The ship is removed from play as though it had entered hyperspace normally using the Hyperspace Mastery trait.
2 - Look At Me. Anxious to impress its peers, the ship strains itself to the limits to perform fighting feats. For the duration of the turn it counts as Super-Manoeuvrable, gains the Precise trait and Dodge 5+.
3 - Schoolboy Crush. The ship has grown very fond of another Shadow vessel (randomly chosen by the Shadow player's opponent) and follows it around, clouds of hormones in its wake. The ship must follow its would-be partner as closely as possible for the duration of the game. Any ships foolish enough to fire on the object of its affection are automatically attacked with the full number of AD, even if the ship has already fired this turn.
4 - Cocky. With a belief in its inherent superiority firmly imprinted on its mind, the ship ignores its limitations and targets the enemy ship of the highest Priority Level for the duration of the turn - if there are two or more of the same Priority Level, the Shadow player chooses one to target.
5 - Depressed. The ship's self-esteem is at rock bottom, and it has temporarily lost the will to do anything but mope. For the duration of the turn the ship is stationary and will not fire unless fired upon by another vessel, but if this happens it will retaliate with the full number of AD as normal.
6 - I HATE YOU ALL! Pushed to the edge of its temper, the ship is so irrationally enraged that it begins to take out its anger on anyone in sight, friend or foe! The ship targets the nearest vessel, station, asteroid or planet, whoever it belongs to, and fires as though attacking normally. Hits against asteroids and planets have no practical effect. The ship moves its full normal movement distance in a random direction (use scatter dice if available) each turn and fires on the nearest target for the rest of the game.
