Alien Compendium vs Aliens of Charted Space Vol 1-4

Hi,

So... what are the differences to the two different strands of Mongoose Traveller Alien books?

Aliens of Charted Space has a focus on the Major Races, and goes into each in more detail. The Alien Compendium brings together all the Minor Races from across the Traveller range. Whereas AOCS has sections for High Guard, CSC, etc, for each species, the Alien Compendium does not follow that format (there are specific ships and so forth in it, but not for every species).
