Al Malik Fleet painted for a Friend!

Well with all the excitement surrounding Star Fleet ACTA I think poor Fading Suns has been lost in the ether a little. So I decided to share some photies with everyone.

I've been painting an Al Malik Fleet for a friend of mine and thought I'd share a few shots of a couple of the finished items. I've kept it simple and clean with a minimal palette to allow me to get them done as quick as possible. I was really worried about the colours after I base coloured and then applied the first wash, but now, I feel quite relieved that they have come out so well.

I've got to admit, the sculpts really help with this. Deep grooves between certain plates almost dictated where the different colours would go.

Great models though.

The turrets and other raised details are also tidy and you can't pass off the credit for that.
