after Secrets of the Ancients campaign

I recently concluded the Secrets of the Ancients campaign (why didn't someone tell me how much that adventure railroaded the characters? And, the PDF version really needs an editor and better selection of maps. Really, a map of a house which everyone can picture or find a generic house plan of, but no map of the orbital smuggler haven which has a quick time element involved?).

So the characters now have a few Ancient artifacts, and sleek new ship (The Dart) as well as the Star Hunter, psionics, and are in Vargr space with knowledge that they've gotten the attention of powerful corsairs that know the characters have ancient tech. What do they do now?

Some thoughts,
1) make their way back to Imperial space:
a) to wander about until a contact reaches them so they become agents of Grandfather (what they told him they would do),
b) to sell their knowledge to a megacorp, for mega riches,
c) to sell their knowledge to the Imperial authorities, for a pardon and riches,
d) and strike out on their own,
e) or, heck if I know what else they're thinking (something else).

Options b) and c) pretty much retires their characters, which I don't think they want to do.


2) set up a Mission: Impossible type of campaign:
a) in Imperial space,
b) in Zhodani space (all being psionic after all).


What did you do after SotA? Any other options?
