Howdy again!

I am being given a golden opportunity to show Traveller off to three of my gamers who normally don't play scifi games, but have agreed as a special favor to me! ;)

Now they are all three good roleplayers but I am drawing a blank on what to throw them into...and they have agreed to commit most of the day to the session. Noon till nine or ten.

Any suggestions, hooks, etc would be appreciated!

Thanks

Ronin

"Type S" from Avenger (available at DriveThruRPG). LOTS of action, but very little gunfighting.

"One Crowded Hour" also by Avenger is another good one, especially as an introductory adventure that throws a group together for survival in space. Also available via DriveThruRPG.

Both are Flaming Cobra releases with Mongoose.

I ran the free sceario The Rescue, located online in the Signs & Portents issue #55. It worked really good. The players all had a great time and there was plenty of things to do in the scenario that showcased the game! For example one thing I noticed right away was that combat is not the be-all-end-all problem solving tool like many other RPGs but vaguely realistically is more of a last resort sort of situation. A game of Traveller can be just as edge of the seat intense with any skills and The Rescue scenario has plenty of smaller situations that highlight these other skills and how fun they can be.

There are some free adventures in Signs & Portents. I've run a couple of them and they're pretty good.
