Adventure 1 : Beltstrike

Hi,

I'm eagerly awaiting the publishing of the "Beltstrike" adventure book. According to the blurb, the game is set "'In the Sonares system the Schaeffer belt offers riches to those equipped to exploit it - the hardy men and women who ply the dangers of the asteroid fields: the Belters."

I don't recognise the "Sonares system". Is there a Sonares system in the Spinward marches? Where abouts is the Sonares system?

Its not linked to the Spinward Marches. The campaign is meant to be generic, so its not based on the OTU, but there are suggestions for where you could locate it if your game is Spinward Marches based.

Also, Sonares is pre-jump technology (just on the verge, actually), so its a pretty remote, backwater kind of system.

Thanks for the info. I have no issues with the idea of generic adventures but I appreciate the inclusion of suggestions for those who do want to include them in our OTU campaigns.

Am I right in assuming that Bowman might be one of the suggested locations?

It could be Bowman, but the obvious candidates are:

Darrian
Five Sisters
District 268

Essentially though, any fringe system untouched by jump routes or scout bases.

Bowman is one of the systems in the District 268 subsector as protrayed in the original Beltstrike.
