Thre questions on Firing an Plasma-D in ADD mode

1)When you fire a Plasma-D in ADD mode when do you need to reload it?

a) In the next turn IF you rolled a "1"
b) In the next turn regardless of whether you rolled a 1 or not

2) Assuming you don't roll any 1's while using it how many times can you use a Plamsa_D in ADD model in the same turn?

3) Do you need to reload a Plasma-D after it has been used as an ADD before you can fire it at a ship, even if you didn't roll any 1s?

Thanks

Simon

I don't have my rulebook handy (packed away for Origins), but I seem to recall that if you used it in ADD mode at all, it required reloading before you could use it in anti-ship mode. Not sure if you can keep it in ADD mode nex turn if you don't roll any '1's.

Plasma-Ds used as ADDs do not need to be reloaded, if used as ADDs again; even if the uses span multiple turns. Continued use in ADD-mode does not require reloading.
They do need to be reloaded before being used in anti-ship mode however.

If no ones are rolled... then it can be used against every incoming volley of seekers in the same turn. i.e., 3 volleys (4 if a scout is used) as that is the limit for drone launches at a single target per turn.

Yes. This is indeed the case.

I read the rule as saying that after it's used in ADD mode, it needs to be reloaded before you can use it again in that mode the next turn.

Definitely you have to reload before using it in offensive mode against a ship/drone/whatever.

That one you replied to has got the look of a spam post Bill...its copied and pasted a chunk of earlier text to make it look like a thread relevant reply. Done it all over the board.
