acta interceptors

I need to have this cleared up as iv been told iv been doing them wrong,so here is the question... imagine if you will a
Abbai lakara interceptor 8 V Dilgar ochalavita beam + pulsars secondaries
the ochlavita hits the lakara with the beam then follow's up with the pulsar's
what happen's

A.the lakara's interceptors are defeated by the beam ,so they get 1 dice roll of 6 to intercept .

B.the lakara get's 8 interceptor dice needing 2 or more to stop the pulsar shot's(as interceptors are not effected by beams as they cannot stop them)

iv always thought it was A,can someone shed some light on this please?

The beam ignores the interceptors completely. The interceptors don't try and stop the beam. The pulsars are intercepted starting on 2.
