If a Klikkitak Crewed Missile attacks a ship with a Dodge score (such as a White Star), and the Dodge is successful, is the Klikkitak still lost or does it stay on the board? Staying on the board makes fluff sense but if it isn't lost, it rather makes a mockery of the Dodge trait vs Gaim!

Fluffwise, my guess would be that it expoldes in the process of its attack run. Ruleswise, it does say remove it once the attack is performed.
As you say, you can imagine it as missing the target then either running out of fuel (expended its afterburners in the attack run) or being shot down as it passes by the smaller guns of the ship.
