About the SECOND prerrogative:

The answer is all of them.

Oh wait, you meant with each other :)

Then the answer is none of them. This isn't Star Trek.

You might point to Delenn and Sheriden's offspring but this is because she is half human due to having her DNA rewritten by the Chrysalis.

There might be other possibilities, where races have been transplated due to, say, Vorlon interference but then they're actually the same race, just living on different planets.

Ah, but wasn't there G'Kar's suggestion of a direct mating with Lyta to get some Narn telepaths...? In the pilot?

Delenn's DNA wasnt massively re-written as opposed to her appearance altered as she was already a "Child of Valen" and thus had part human DNA to begin with. And as noted during season four the minbari who now carry human dna is almost all of them. Though for childbearing the chrysalis did seem necessary in at least giving Delenn a human reproductive system, which she didnt have before as made apparent by her querying Ivanova over her cramps ;)

But for interbreeding of the other races.. well we know that almost every race can have sex with each other..and G'kar seems to have done his upmost to test that theory heh, but for actual offspring i'm sure some are compatible though it is never made clear which. Knowing our luck the only compaitable race for interbreeeding would probably be the Gaim or Pak'mara lol

Can you imagine having children with a squid, an earthworm or an anemone?

These are beings originating from the same source as your own species. Aliens are not. Technically, they should be biologically much more different from us than these animals.

Biologically, the idea of having children with an alien is ludicrous.

On Star Trek, it happens a lot but on that show, aliens more or less symbolise facets of humanity. So it's story over science which is sometimes ok but I wouldn't apply it to B5. Also note that on Star Trek, all humanoids have a common ancestry and there is still often need for genetic manipulation to make races compatible.

In other words, if it really helps your story, you might decide to make it possible. But if you're just thinking "Some aliens just have to be compatible." forget it! The odds of it happening are far more than astronomical!

Star Trek even explained it in an episode or movie (don't remember wehich one). Apparently all the races are offshoots of the same base race that was seeded across the galaxy by some even more ancient race. Not exaclt science, but at least they tried.
