AAVP7A1 help needed.

ok ive got all the stats sorted so far but would like some help from you guys

im doing a AAVP7A1

what i need help on is stats for the 40mm mk19 grenade machine gun !!!

we shall call it the 40mm gmg for simplicity :)

so what range and stats should it have ?
 
I believe it shoots the same grenades as an M203, just ALOT faster. So, 2 X D6+1 seems good, maybe with a 30" range.

That would give it the potential for 4 shots a turn, which seems pretty good.
 
Well, the Mk19 would have the advantage of a blast radius over the M2, but yeah they would be pretty similar.

The 40mm grenade really can't hurt anything heavily armored, so I can't see its score being any higher than d6+1.

ok so here is my rought stats

move 7"
size 3
CC 3xD10
target 8+
armour 3+
kill 10+

m2.5 mg
range 36"
2D6+1
AA
-1 save counts as 2 for supression

40mm gmg
range 20"
2D6+1
modles within 2" hit at D6

both weapons must fire into same fire zone.


armoured side and rear save is 4+ ignores 1" high terrain
may not make any reactions.

tough ignores the first 2 failed save rolls.

transport, may carry 9 men with usual rules. if destroyed modles on board suffer D6 damage.

intel feeds (normal rules)




ok as always open to sugestions, from them mkore int eh know.
 
Hello all, my first post here. Being a former marine I can tell you , you can get a full squad (13 marines) with combat gear in the Amtrak and your range for the mk 19 is to short it can fire those grenades out to slightly over 2000 meters. It is the same caliber as the M203 grenade launcher but not the same grenade. Hope this helps.

i imagin the gmg has a shorter range than the machine gun, maybe make it 24" so its comparable to assualt rifles ?

Its not even really comparable to the 203 as its ammo is differnert (High velocity). Having crewed one for a over a year I can tell you it will reach out and ruin someones day. On a side note it can fire the standard 40mm grenades if necessary.

Here is my opinion on Mk 19 stats.

range 15-?" use same max range as the M2HB on the M1A2
3D6+1
models within 1" hit at D6
may fire at double range using same rules as rifles

IMHO the stats for the M203 are more like a combat shotgun.
It should have a min range 10" and fire at double range.
