A Traveller "Bundle of Holding"

Bundle of Holding has a Traveller T20 collection for sale for the next 17 hours. Is anyone here familiar with the T20 titles for sale? Are they much good as Traveller universe materials, or mostly specific to the T20 system?

I did actually buy this bundle (the players and refs options). I've not yet had a chance to look through them all fully, but the system does use the Third Imperium as its setting, so there is lots of stuff you can mine for additional source material. And even if you are using an alternative universe, there are still deck plans, other maps, illustrations, adventure seeds and so on that can be used. Obviously some material is more useful than others, and there is a lot that already exists in other publications. Just from my initial impression, it's won't be a waste of money, but then also not a must-have.

Dan.

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to check the site again before the deadline because of work, so I'm out of luck. I guess I can still keep my eyes open for those titles.

Be warned: the picture of the Vargr on the cover of the rulebook made my two-year-old daughter cry!

You can go to the Far Future website and purchase the entire T20 collection for $30 (or $35?). It's a bargain if you are trying to add to your Traveller collection.

Funny. But I hope it didn't take too long to console her.

Good point. Sometimes Bundle of Holding has neat stuff that I haven't seen on the Far Future web site, notably a collection of GURPS Traveller titles that were handy to have in PDF. (Sometimes print is handier, but sometimes PDF is handier.)

I particularly liked having a digital copy of Behind the Claw – it's nice to be able to print the entry for a player character's home world to attach to the character sheet; before I had it, I photocopied it, which was a hassle. It would be a bit less hassle today, because I have a multi-function printer that can do copies, but printing from PDF is still easier. (Digressing further, I know there are some wacky things in Behind the Claw, but I can ignore the parts that don't make sense, like inconsistencies with population codes – on some worlds, the population codes include bases, while on others they seem to disregard them.)

I did the GURPS Bundle when they had it. Now FFE has the entire GURPS series on two DVD's. To complete my collection I'm going to have lots of overlap (sigh). Still, it's cheaper than buying individually on DTRPG. Digital printing was supposed to be better than all this!!! :)
