A question for Matt, Gaim Fighters in a box?

Will there be a box of fighters that we can get?

I really fancy doing a Gaim fleet but don't fancy having to spend sooooooo much on fighter blisters (especially as I have to buy two blisters to effectively get four bases of fighters)

So, will there be a box of fighters for us to spend our money on? I seem to remember there use to be a box of Delta-Vs, they don;t appear to be available any more.

If not I will have to rethink about doing a Gaim fleet. Don't worry, you'll still get my money, just won't be for a Gaim fleet. :lol:

i have a feeling most people will use counters for Gaim fighters. just need too many of them to buy that many.

It's a shame, I really hope they do some sort of deal for Gaim fighters as I really want to do a fleet.

Maybe I will just get the usual fighters only, and just use something to show they have transformed. Something like a gem or other such marker.

Not ideal in my mind but.........

Rather than getting the full compliment of both types of fighter, as you'll very, very rarely see them all together at once, about 2/3 of each should suffice. I agree about the big boxed set though - possibly as a Stuteeka Carrier with 16 Klikkita flights and 8 Klikkitak flights for £30-35 RRP?

I'm thinking that if I get gaim, I'm going to end up just doing 1-2 fighters on a base, and put them on smaller bases. *shrugs*

I have to agree with the popular sentiment here. I understand it isn't any cheaper for YOU (Mongoose) to make the Gaim fighters than it is anyone else's.

Nevertheless, it seems a bit like dirty pool to create a fleet capable of easily putting 100+ fighter flights on the table in even a LOW point encounter, and forcing people to buy said flights 4 per blister pack.

And that's compounded by the fact that you need to buy them double, really, since they transform into the crewed missiles with a new model. I understand everyone saying you can use counters, or that you don't need to have a 50/50 split of fighters and crewed missiles, but still.

I think anyone seriously interested in a Gaim fleet (and I am) is going to want to be able to swarm the table with sharp fighter miniatures, and it would be nice to be able to buy them in bulk in some kind of a box set. Maybe a second Gaim box set, even, centered around the carriers (since the existing one isn't) with just a TON of fighter/missile flights inside. That would rock.

Personally, I plan to base them three to a base for the light fighters and maybe two to a base for the suicides. This will let me stretch them out without having to drop a ton of money just on fighters.
