A few questions about MC

Toru

Mongoose
We are to GM a scenario driven event on a gaming convention soon and during playtest we have run into a few things we need a second opinion on.

The scenario is a fight between USMC and MEA.

Ready Vs Slow? The M203 has the trait ready and the rpg29 has the trait slow. Is there a "logical" reason for this. We will probably change the M203 to slow. Does anyone see a "risk" in this?

Ready action clarification
As I read the rules a USMC fire team with both a saw and a M203 who takes an ready action can only go prone _or_ fire the m203? Is this correct?

Firing into, and moving inside buildings
We use a lot of houses in the scenario and a couple of thing have puzzled us. When moving inside a building do you have to keep the models exactly where they are or do you use a more abstract way of moving models between floors etc? At first we used the abstract way of moving but when a weapon with a leathal range fires into a used fire point we understand it is important exactly where the models are positioned inside the windows/doors. If using an abstract way, how do you resolve the lethal range damage? Can a Leathal range explosion kill models outside LOS?

The idea is basically that with the M203 you are essentially switching between two different modes of the M-16. The RPG only fires one type of round. With the M-16, you can still opt to fire the weapon normally. Keep the the "Ready" trait, and just remember to think of the M203 as a "special" action for the M-16.

Yep, really makes you think carefully about setting up your SAW.

Abstract rule. Basically a building is either occupied or it isn't. Remember you can only shoot out of a building with as many models as their are "firing points" As for the lethal damage, I'll have to dig my book out again, but I believe you still just allocate damage dice to models that fired out. Lethal Zone damage would affect the building itself. So if your weapon fires 2xD10 and D6 within 2", and your opponent in the building previously shot out with three models, you would allocate a D10 to two of the models, and a D6 to the building.

Again, I'll have to get my book out and double-check, as I've been playtesting some more advanced rules...

i read the rules once again and you can't hit a building except if you aim at it. You can't allocate damage dice to it and a blast does not affect it if it's not your target.
