A few more questions after 2nd game

Hi all! Just played my second game. Im starting to get the hang of it (really like the system...my group is pretty excited). I did come away with a few questions and was hoping to get some help.

1) Is the Thunderbol Flight +0 Dogfight and Dodge 3+ or was it changed to +1 Dogfight and 2+ dogde? I saw a source listing it with the +1/2+ stats and wanted to confirm if thats correct or simply a typo.

2) Can a ship target a fighter flight that is invloved in a dogfight with your own flight?

Thanks!!!

2) No shooting into dogfights

Agree on number 1

There is an exception on number 2. If I lose initiative, and you kill my fighter out in your dogfight stage, I can shoot at your fighter because he is not involved in a dogfight anymore.

There is a second exception to #2 -
If you're a third party you can fire on a dogfight containing only enemy combatants. (Randomly determine who is hit)

Errr Dogfights are resolved after all the ships have shot... It is possible for fighters involved in a dog fight to be destroyed before the end of the shooting step by explosions from blown up ships, or area effect weapons such as energy mines. In this case the fighter that was dog fighting is no longer dog fighting and can be shot.

In the new armageddon rules, fighters move last, shoot first. So quite often you'll have a fighter that was in a dogfight out of it by the beginning of other main-ship shooting.

having played Matt at star wars CTA this came up. he said it was never his intention for you to be able to shoot a fighter thats finished a dogfight. i think this just got missed in armageddon as the fighters were no longer going last.

Intention is one thing, rules are another! As it stands, your ships (or indeed, your other non-dogfighting fighters) can shoot down an enemy fighter who just beat you in a dogfight.
