A few GoMC1 conversions. ::UPDATED!::

Awesome!
I might just do some similar conversions. Seeing all these conversions happening and scenery making inspires me to get cracking with my own stuff again! But focus less on painting all my minis pain-stakingly (Im a slow painter, Im not suggesting your models are painted quickly or anything!) and more on getting it all done!

Unfortunately, I have so many projects going on, the liklihood of that happening is low unless MGP start adding support as I'm sure after the phase of 40k and WFB I am in, MGP will have brought out SST and all my focus will be engrossed in that! :P

Some more conversions tonight! Here's the bunch:

The one on the left I'm not too proud of, the hair looks great from behind, but not so great from in front. Oh well.

Probably my fave of the bunch, I love the expression on the face and just the ridiculousness of the size of his arms! I wasn't sure whether to make a multiple arm mutant or a really strong mutant, but when I found a few old Ork arms in my box of stuff, I knew it had to be done.

Another mutant, no specific mutation but I decided that it should be made explicit at least, so I gave him a mutated-looking arm.

Here's that hair from behind. To be fair, it was the first time I'd ever sculpted hair before. But, to be brutal, it's probably the easiest thing to sculpt!

A nice, simple conversion with a little cutting and filing, apart from the gun, which was a complete PAIN to construct without tweezers. I'm not sure the head suits the body, so I'm probably going to either swap it, or sculpt some sunglasses onto the face.

Mutants are really easy if you have the parts (and lots of green stuff!), and so much fun! I'm really, really looking forward to painting these guys up.

I wanted to (and still plan on) making:

A female Fattie.
An Oldster gang (and rules).
A Citi-def unit.
More 'extreme' mutants.
More apes. I found lots of Chimps which is what i want really. I looked at mega Minis and Eureka.

:)

I wish more companies would make some kind of Orangutan minis, then you could have an ape gang composed entirely of Orangutans and chimps. I'd love to see what that's like, fast, agile and clever...

can't believe the rate your knocking those guys out at!

there are some really inspired conversions there, they must be a joy to paint?

cap doffed, again! 8)

Very cool dude. Do you find that you get more inspiration and satisfation personalizing figures from a game like GoMC1 or Necromunda. Were each figure sees a lot more action than say, a squadman from 40k, or a rank and file warhamer figure?

I enjoy converting minis.
I like converting some minis in Gangs, in 40k I think converting a whole squad can acheive good results, sometimes I convert key models or random models to personalize the squad (generally very simple conversions like head swaps, e.g. 3rd edition orks, with 1st edition ork heads). :)

Thanks for the reply guys, I kind of find it interesting to pick peoples minds every so often. Its funny, but over the years I've done less and less converting. Looking at other peoples work on the forum kind of makes me want to start a project, or redo some of my old conversions. Like the vampire count on a griffon I put together in 1995. (before they split the undead into two factions)
