That looks like a New Fast Cruiser behind the OCA and it appears to have panelling lines on the saucer. Is that also a Starline 2400 model, and do the lines follow the outline of the saucer?
It is; the (quite faint) lines are only in the recessed areas of the saucer, and radiate out from the centre.
Does it only have radial lines or does it also have lines going around the saucer?

For that matter, does the Starline 2400 Federation CA have panelling lines on its saucer?
No, but the 2400 CC does.
Are there any other physical differences between the CC model and CA model in Starline 2400?

95% certain that's a no. The only difference is the weapons fit on the secondary hull, so at worst you'd have to file off a couple of phaser bumps on the bottom.

BTW, if you do pick one up I've got SFB-scale decals for the TOS Enterprise (and most of the other Connies for that matter) that you can have. With the 2500s on the way it's less than likely I'll be using them.

The differences in the 2400s are not majo. Both use the same secondary hull and engines. The old CA saucer was sculpted and is a little on the thick side. The CC was a Cad designed piece which added the radial line web and enlarged the command bubble on top to show the larger flag bridge while thinning out some of the thickness.

Note: I use a CC numbered ass heavy cruiser for demoing all the time.

Aft phasers on a Constitution? That must be something added by SFU because no Constitution class in either TOS or movies ever had aft weapons.

As flawed as the show was, Enterprise established that the Constitution class Defiant did indeed have rear facing phasers.

But yes, ADB added the rear facing phasers. And the ph-3. And the Drones. Thirty years of development makes for a lot of changes! :D

On another note: Thank you for the history lesson Nerroth. To coin a phrase, "Fascinating".

In the past ADB hc's had that only as an upgrade (10 years ago^^). I think before "Enterprise"
almost no federation ship from the TOS era (except the defiant in star trek 2) was shown
with rear firing weapons.
When I take the newest firlm into account....how the phasors look like there (almost turretlike)
I can see even there that they could fire ino the ships rear (at least some of them).
