A Call to Arms: Star Fleet book quality.

Banded Mongoose
I took out my copy of B5:ACTA lately and was reminded of the bad binding. Any problem with this in the new rulebook?

My copy of the book is still in quite good condition after owning and reading it for only a few days. I'll have to see how well it stands up after several months of actual use.

It's been awhile since I purchased from Mongoose(I believe the last books I purchased were one of the earliest Traveler expansions which had good binding and Cthulhutech.....which was not so good(although they did replace it for free for me). Anyways I purchased Noble Armada three weeks ago(no fleets yet though, for some reason my LGS has the Vulshok...Vuldok....whatever they are....which isn't in the core rulebook but none of the regular fleets) and Starfleet today(which I'm reading through right now) along with squadron boxes 1, 2, and 9(It's weird...as I last played B5 where I had to fiddle with everything to get it to fit and even do some drilling, the models I've assembled so far have fit together just fine, even the bases fit correctly although the amount of flash I'm removing is pretty crazy compared to what I remember of my B5 ships). Anyways both the Noble Armada and Starfleet books seem to be just fine where binding is concerned.

Anyways all I can say is Yay for the return of ACTA! How I missed you. Despite imbalances in the original game I always had fun and we were good about just ruling that broken ships were disallowed(I never did get that last B5 book which is sad or the Ka'Bink'Tak and G'Vrahn but oh well).

I look forward to complaining about why my Klingon Fleet isn't as good as fleet X with you all. :D No idea how good or bad they'll turn out to be but just as I stuck with the Narn through the good times and the bad, I shall almost certainly do the same for the Klingons.

And damn, the Kzinti ships are uuuuuuuuugly. No wonder they're such aggressive hateful creatures. I'd hate the universe too if I had to fly one of those things.

Lol welcome/welcome back :) good to see another Klingon warrior. Right now it looks like we might be one of the strong fleets in the game (at least to me).

I have had no problems with the binding on my pdf version of the Noble Armada rulebook. Still waiting for my ACTASF stuff however, but I am told it should be here Real Soon Now.

One of....!? I am shocked!
The Klingon Empire is the only true fleet.
The rest are just targets and only exist so the Empire has someone to destroy.

Clearly the reason we didn't win the general war was the mistake(a rare but admittedly big one) of allying with the Romulans. That's the only explanation. They were feeding the information we foolishly trusted them with to the Federation. :D
