A :2089

I can't wait to read the next novels, I loved the Shotgun Mike one. It was really gritty, and felt like a war novel, and not an unrealistic mech battle etc. Have you written any other novels MJD?

Yes.

I've written the sequel to Standing Alone and part of the next one, a B5 novel due for release this summer plus some other stuff:

Diaspora Phoenix, a Traveller novel
In Glory Die, a Napoleonic Fantasy
The Eye of Glory, a Lejendary Earth (sic) novel
A Brevet for the Guillotine (ebook), a Napoleonic novel
Behind the Throne, a straight Fantasy

Thanks, I checked Amazon and may just order Behind The Throne with my next Amazon shipment, it sounds like something I would really enjoy.

Standing Alone
Standing Together
Standing Firm

are all one series

Actions of Many
The Stars My Hunting Ground

The Eye of Glory
Diaspora Phoenix
Behind the Throne
In Glory Die

There are connections and some commonality,yes...

yeah, I mean obviously the 3 A:2089 ones are tied together, but the title of the B5 one seemd to carry on a theme.

Glad to know I'm not going completely mad.....yet

Cheers MJD.

Sorry for this thread necromancy, but I just want to say that "Standing Alone" is a great novel, in a great setting. I don't play the rpg but I bought all the books after reading the novel.

Can't wait for more novels... Any word on a release date?

That's how I got bit, novel a t a Mongoose event, core book at FP that month, Warmachines of 2089 and Earth 2089 from ebay (From Ian Sturrock as it happened) and then the remaining 4 supplements next time I was at Mongoose.

It is a great setting and a good crunchy game.

Looking forward to the novels MJD.

I picked the rulebook up at my FLGS today for a mere £10. I plan on combining it with StarShip Troopers to run a decent sci-fi war campaign (one of those gaming dreams I have).

What other game material was released for it?

http://www.warpedcore.net/?x=signsportents/index

Is a list of all Signs & Portents articles, search in product line for Armageddon

As for other supplements, there were 6 supplements after the main rulebook

Details here on the Mongoose site:

If you see a copy of Armoured Companies, don't worry too much if the laminate on the cover is rippled, every copy I've ver seen has that problem. You just have to live with it.

And there was also a novel:

I have all of it, and it's all worth it.

Hope all that helps

I was wondering, what happened to warmachines of A:2089?

I'm just about to get into this, and I'm wondering if they've stopped printing it....it seems like a great book.

Hmm, I'd have thought Mongoose would have some left but not according to their website. It's oe of 3 A:2089 books I only have 1 copy of, I have 2 of the core book, High Frontier, Armoured Companies and Kazakhstan, 1 of everything else.

Someone has it on Ebay though.
