2nd ed and counters

Does anyone know whether 2nd ed will come with counters as well at the moment thats all i use. I know at some point i will have to buy a fleet box set but then they are just so expensive.

Counters will not be included with 2nd ed, but a new counter set is planned.

so its £35 for the two books, and will probably be at least £10 for the counters? Thats going to make it expensive for new players to get interested. I thought MGP books would become cheaper because they now print their own, but the revised edition came with two books and counters for £30. I realise the new books will be bigger, but it looks like its going to be about £20 more! Are the books hardback or paperback, as that may explain some of the extra cost i suppose.
