2500 scale

Mongoose
First, I apologize if I'm being daft here- I'm not real familiar with the evolution of the SFB miniature lines. My question is does the designation of 2500 have anything to do with the scale? Or rather, are the new 2500 ships in a particular scale, like 1:2500?

I'm wondering because I just compared one of my new Mongoose models to an older 1/2500 scale K't'inga cruiser (I think this is a PNT model?) and they are really, really close. Sorry for the bad picture, but you get the idea.

I guess the fundamental question is: what is the scaling of the new 2500 line?

Thanks. And by the way, the Mongoose model is a lot more detailed.

The scale of the Mongoose models is given as 1/3125.

The 'SL2500' moniker is a nod to the preceeding ADB SL2200 (1980-1988), SL2300 (1990-1995) and SL2400 (2000 to present) ranges.
