2300AD, not 2320...

Some of it would be fine, but so much new art was created for 2320, and never paid for, that I would like to use as much of that as possible. Some of hte original art was good. Some, not so much.

I would definitely buy new 2300AD stuff for MGT. In my opinion 2300AD is the best sci-fi RPG setting ever. Period.

I was excited when 2320AD was released, even if I'm no fan of the d20 system. And equally saddened when it died before print.

So...I say GO for it! :-D

Good Morning Everyone,
I started working on converting 2300AD to the Mongoose Traveller rules just a couple weeks ago after reading this post...I guess you inspired me. I have included rules to play humans, Eber and Sung and added a pile of goodies from Etranger. Another couple weeks and everything but starships will be done (I'm waiting for High Guard to further develop that side of the deal). So far, so good.

I loved what you tried to do with 2320AD...it is a shame how it fell apart. I'd love to email you what I've got if you'd like to see it. It is a Word file.

Just to be clear, I am not doing anything official at the moment. Or rather, yet. And I honestly don't know if I will be. But I am noodling about with it, so if things do move forward, I'll be ready.

And if they don't, I'll still have fun with it.

Hi guys,

Just to let you all know, we are now looking at this seriously. Nothing signed yet, no release dates planned (likely end of 2009/beginning 2010 at best), but things are now moving forward.

I can't wait to see it...in the meantime, I'll continue working on my ad-hoc Traveller 2300. Colin, could I email you my work when completed for advice?

Well, I wish the best of luck to Mongoose. I hope that 2300 works well for them, and whomever they get to develop it. For a variety of reasons, I will not be involved. However, I do look forward to seeing the finished product.

Well that's got me considerably less excited about what Mongoose are doing :(. Colin's work on 2320AD was outstanding, and he showed a deep understanding of the setting that made it so much better. I somewhat doubt that anyone could do better than him.

What's going on with the licenses now though? Has QLI lost the 2300AD license? Did it ever have it, or did it just have one for 2320AD?
