2300AD, not 2320...

It's a flavour thing. Low-gee types tend to be ectomorphs, high-gee types tend to be mesomorphs or endomorphs. I left in 2320AD, and would likely do so with any Mongoose Traveller version.

Starship combat should be fairly simple, as the orignal 2300AD starship combat system was also fairly simple. It's startship construction, making it fit into MongTrav paradigms, that will be trickly. Luckily enough, I still own the 2320AD design sequence, so that should help.

Not a big deal at all. In fact when when you consider gravitational different of respective home worlds and such it's needed.

The thread has been quiet for a while but I'd love to see a 2300/2320AD book from Mongoose and Colin is the man to see about it.

Huh, I thought you'd moved ages ago! But yeah, I'd definitely want to see 23xxAD (or even 24xxAD) done by Colin under Mongoose and the TLL.

I moved out 11 months ago. My family moved out last week.

While 24xx would be interesting, I would prefer to start with a 23xx main book. After any supplements (ships, worlds, adventures) then I would like to see a line of century sourcebooks, starting at 2100, and moving forward to maybe 2500AD. That gives four of these sourcebooks, with the potential to see the universe change, grow and die... >:)

Are you talking to Mongoose about doing this at all?

Here's another post supporting a 23xx line from Mongoose Traveller. I would buy these books.

I only ever bought the original 2300 book, no supplements, but I love the setting.

BEVO supplements would be awsome too.

I would buy this! (I would take some things from the MGT:TMB and modify them, such as putting in some cybertech which is about TL 10-12, bioscanners which are TL-10 and expand the computer options, but still buy it.)

Have just ordered the CD from FFE. Acc to the bumph it has everything ever done for 2300, including the Challenge magazine articles, so I'm quite excited about it. We'll see.

There's not much to say on this topic at the moment. I am in talks with Mongoose, but because this is a licensed property, things move slowly. We likely won't have anything to announce, if at all, until the new year.

I submitted a proposal for a six-book run, including the main book. That would give us the main book, with lots of tech and gear, background, and enough setting material to get started. Then a ship book, 3 atlases, and an alien book. After that, well, who knows? I would like to see a tech/vehicle/setting book, adventures, and a sourcebook to push the boundaries of explored space. Then the century books.

But this is all really just smoke at the moment, little more than wishful thinking. We'll have to wait and see what the new year brings.

Just got the FFE CR-ROM. $40 including postage to the UK and it has everything on it, including the 2300 font - oooooh.
Well impressed. Possibly (in fact definitely) the best value for money roleplaying item I have ever purchased.
If Mongoose can come up with a system that is a little less staid and a little more player friendly than the original 2300 rules, I could be tempted.

OK... I'm visualizing this... I'm putting "out to the universe..."

Bah! This "The Secret" silliness is New Age malarkey! I'll put this in terms that WILL work...

Matt, if you put out a 2300AD book for Traveller, I will give you money. In fact, many people will give you money for such a product and subsequent products (modules, source books, BFE army books, miniatures.... hint, hint, hint). We all know that Mongoose wants to make money, right?

So please, Matt. Give us 2300AD and we'll give you our money.

I'll do you one better I will buy two copies of any books for 2300AD printed.

Well, if I'm doing it, and I have any say at all, it will be very visual. That was a good chunk of the whole appeal of the original 2300AD, and was supposed to be significant factor in 2320AD as well.
