2300AD character creation changes from Traveller

Kravell

Mongoose
I'm curious if there will be any changes from the Traveller character creation rules beyond the obvious--need an Earth nationality, aliens have changed etc. I'm considering starting a 2300AD campaign early with the Traveller rules and old supplements but I wouldn't want to have to retrofit too much.

The core mechanic is much the same, in that characters are randomly generated. Beyond that, though, there is the addition of DNA modifications for characters from frontier worlds, cybernetics as part of chartacter background, a traits system built-in to the random character generation system, changes for homeworld gravity, body types, new skills, changed skills...

So, yeah, a few things.

Thanks, Colin. One of my friends is interested in a character with body modifications so this sounds great.
