2300 AD: color world maps??

As others have noted, the world maps in the 2300 sourcebook are a bit disappointing in b/w. I imagine they were originally produced in color, reduced for print publication?

At any rate, on my wish list would be a PDF supplement of these worlds in available in color. Sayin'.

Why did the artist create them in colour, knowing they would be greyscaled?????

Well, four-color printing is very expensive, so I get that. Less an issue for PDF.

One thing that would be cool in a future book is to lay out a few signatures on four-color plates, maybe the center eight. Those old schoolers who know the printing business know what I'm talking about here. :)

I'm happy with B&W hex maps, Classic Traveller style. Printable, useful, readable ... maps like those in Across the Bright Face, Twilight's Peak and so on ... OK, they were three-colour or four colour, but they were pin-sharp resources.

Having obtained the 2300AD book yesterday, I'm on the band wagon for a PDF of color maps. Releasing these on the Mongoose site I don't believe wouldn't cut down on any future sales of the book. I doubt there is anyone that was going to buy the book just for the 30+ world maps included.

All my vehicles and ships are in colour.. it'd just be weird not to do it that way :D

The plans are black/grey with red grids ala classique Traveller style
