Mongoose
hi all, as you may be aware most of my battlefield evolution models have been for the chinese collectors amongst you, well now its the turn of the u.s. marine corps collectors who can now cheer as i have finnished 2 versions of the shadow rst-v light recce vehicle.
DSCN3847.jpg

the first version has a .50 cal hmg cupola and the telescopic sensor mast erected.

the main body and the 4 wheels/mudguards are in resin and the mast and mg cupola is in metal, so you can traverse them to whcih ever position you desire.

the next version is an armaments carrier, there is a choice of rws types, (remote weapons stations), this is the .50 cal hmg rws.

this has the gpmg rws.

this is the mk19 grenade launcher rws.
the rws mounts will also be available separately, so you can arm other models with them.
there are a few more models suitable for battlefield evolution as well,

the hmg version of the wz551 apc for the chinese,

as well as this pick up truck, technical, with either a sov 12.7hmg, .50 cal hmg, gpmg, or mk19 grenade launcher, mounted on a suitable roll over bar, which sits in the rear bed, but it is separate so you can leave it out or mount your own weapons on it.
we have also done these plastic road barriers as well.

The Shadow looks as nice as expected as far as Shaun's sculpt is concerned, but I still do not like the overall design of this vehicle... :evil:

HMG WZ 551 - is it just me or looks the turret somehow unfinished? :?:

i have got the dimentions of the mongoose shadow, compared to ours it is bigger by enough for it to be almost exactly the same size as mine would be in 28mm, (1/60th) scale
the monggose one is
l=85mm, w=31mm, h=29mm
using published dimensions mine would be
l=91mm, w=35mm, h=30mm, so as you can see the mongoose one is fine for 28mm scale, so i do not see any point in doing another one.
