just when you thought things could not be better for those collecting modern chinese in 20mm, we go and release a brand new range of modern chinese infantry!
(all of these figures were painted by mark taylor of redline painting service.)

the range so far consists of 18 different poses and cover all of the main infatry weapons and includes the following:-
qbz-95 riflemen, 2 x qbb-95 saw's, 2 x type 88 gpmg's, 2 x radiomen, 2 x pf-89 a/t launcher, 1 x sniper, and 1 x qw-4 a/a missile.
there are a couple of figures suitable for command figures as well.

we are hoping to do some more poses as well as adding more a/t missiles, another a/a missile as well as the type 89 grenade launcher.

im thinking these could be my next big investment once ive got myself out of dept lol...

just waiting for soem PLA fast attack :)
 
I'm just going to convert some open-topped EQ-2050s to represent those, once they're available. I've got a couple of spare 23mm guns in my spares box. Alternatively, ACE do 14.5mm armed UAZ jeeps which might fit the bill.

BTW, I did some rough test versions of the new PLA camo last night when I was finishing off my Russians. One each of urban, woodland and flecktarn copy. Urban and woodland isn't that hard to approximate, just do some green patches over the base colour and then add some smaller brown and black (for urban) irregular striping. Flecktarn's a pig to do (I used colours from the Vallejo SS set) although I was reasonably happy with the look (base orange/brown with black/brown and sand flecks, fewer red/brown and field grey flecks). No way I'm doing that for the 70 or so figures I'm going to order :wink:
