I was reading up on an Iran and I came across an old ad...

It struck me how much could change in 10 years. Say Iran builds its dodgy Russian nuclear plant as planned this year. The active faultline it's built upon erupts in a massive earthquake (Iran had two 5+ earthquakes last year) irradiating Kuwait, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Yemen, Iraq and Saudi Arabia as well. The US having the logistics in the region conducts humanitarian aid, Iranian students assassinate Ahmadinejad, the regime collapses into civil war, the US backs the reformists...in 2017, Iran is a staunch US ally. So no one should have any problem with my MEA army taking M1A2s then. 8)

Judging by the fact that the current regime is around as a direct result of last time the US pissed about with regime change in Iran I dont think it'd turn out quite like that :D

hehe i love the alternative futures we can do.

another would be the rising political and religouse tension in england, lauches a internal war with british muslims fouighting the british, armed forces are sent in and patrol the streets, while goods and arms keep getting though the docks into the hands of the MEA (muslim english antagonists)

be an interesting street battle i feel mostly infantry based with maybe the od warrior, or evan a scorpion. could evan squeez some technicals in thier.

Check out the movie Children of Man for just some of that style fighting, Mr Evil. The british troops even have some of the FIST gear.

once ive got all my work caught up with ive promised myself a copy.

Hailing from a country that locks refugees in prison camps for several years before finally deporting them (if they're lucky)...I'd say the ending of Children of Men is a realistic depiction of Sydney or Melbourne in 10 years.

Considering that the prevailing winds in the northern hemisphere travel from west to east, it is more likely that the path of the strongest radiation would travel across the better part of the nation of Iran, Afghanistan, possibly southern Turkmenistan, Pakistan, north and central India and most of mainland China. I can only speculate on the impact of the Himalayas on the prevailing winds in the region. While there would be driftback toward the west, impacting the areas you've already sited, the nations that lie east of Iran would be affected significantly more. I can see China taking action to prevent any further failures at a plant located there, in their own national interest of course, under the guie (initially) of a humanitarian aid offer of their own. Which, of course, could lead to plenty of hostile action.

Nice, you've just found a plausible reason and location where the four factions could engage in a campaign. Excellent!

Plus the US might have conquered all of the Middle East by then... Actually I think Iraq is the end for now. Considering we've lost I don't think GB is going back for more.
