Just some advice on the starter box. Yes the MI are a pain to put together, but they give you LOADS of custom poses. Just take your time and you will get them done. Here's what I did: 1 Glue legs to base 2 Glue upper torso to legs 3 Glue head to torso 4 Glue Weapon to right arm 5 Glue Right arm...

No, I used the standard base. But being a plastic figure I hate the way they get knocked over or what stand up, so I wanted to add some weight to the base. I glued a 7/8 inch metal washer into the hollow of the base.

Bulk of my painting is a craft paint, Americana. Very cheap, but also not so good quality. I also augment this with a selection of GW paint.
