Seconded.
Also, I was not comparing the Octurion and Poseidon. I was just saying that, more often then not, big ships need protection (Narn big ships being an exception) from smaller ones in a fleet. That said, I do think that the Octurion and the Sulust need a re-tweak in the weapons...
In an attempt to get back on track, I think that the Octurion is a good ship. A previous post said that the Octurion needs to be supported in , battle and it can carve through a fleet. For comparison, one wouldn't send a Poseidon into battle on it's own. Sure, it carries 24 flights of a damn...
Okay... Definately an option. Not quite what I was thinking of, but I suppose blinding the Minbari with gore all over their bridge viewports is a good way to keep your opponent guessing. Certainly going to use up wiper fluid though.
How's the Dilgar list at this PL? I hear that the Minbari...
Oh darn! Arco-flagellation. Exterminatus would be far better. Quicker too.
But I suppose we should end the 40k references on a ACTA forum, or we may get in trouble. The Vorlon planet killer might come and destroy us!
Back on topic:
I just remembered that this guy will be facing Minbari...
I agree with Daishi. He starts with the basic pak list and adds ships from salvage, as per the rules.
All the lists  Since when do Vorlons and Shadows have a grudge against carrion eaters? (especially since I doubt either race needs to eat anymore) Besides, replacing Shadowtech with...
Wow. David, Anla Shok' How cool.
The Balvarin and Morshin. Isn't that like Vorlons and Dilgar? The Centauri might have been dumb enough to ask the Shadows for help in re-asserting their dominance, but go against the Minbari? That honour is reserved for the EA
Wyrdmaster
Right. And I initially thought that such a thing would be a big, big problem, but I looked over the issue of S&P that featured ACTA scenarios and re-read Carrier Clash. It says that the ship must have two or more flights aboard it and not necessarily be a carrier. That means technically I can...
Thanks to everyone who posted on this thread. I now have a direction in which to take my fleet. First though, I gotta find some players out here and get in some games :?
Wyrdmaster.
Thanks for the fighter info.
Banichi (I love those books. Go C.J.). You and Rutarians is like myself and EMP grenades for my Tau-three points per model for an effective sticky bomb-pah!
About the carrier:
The Balvarin is not a war level ship (I Think) so how many could I take if I was...
Something I forgot to mention in my last post. I live in British Columbia, Lower Mainland/Vancouver region. If any Canucks on this forum know where I can find a place to play ACTA in B.C., then please PM me. I would be most grateful.
Another question pertaining to the Maximus frigate:
Can...
Greetings to one and all on this forum. I have been a lurker on this site for some time now, in addition to the main website.
Although new to A Call to Arms, I am not new to miniature gaming (five years of Warhammer 40,000), and so I know that the best way to get a feel for a new game is to...
