The deeper we look, the more we realize we don't know...

Apparently you don't even know what you write (that was in reference to me saying that the scientific consensus (based on the evidence) was that Dark Matter was more likely than modified gravity). Here's a link for you to read. You may find it enlightening about your behaviour...

The deeper we look, the more we realize we don't know...

One paper doth not a falsification make, there are many other authors who have proposed different ideas about the nature of dark matter and dark energy. Some have been falsified over the years, but the idea of Dark Matter hasn't (which you'd understand if you even bothered to read that link I...

The deeper we look, the more we realize we don't know...

The consensus I'm talking about is based on evidence and many different groups coming to the same conclusion based on that evidence (the vast majority of which - including galactic rotation curves - points to Dark Matter, not modified gravity - see e.g...

It's just one of the ideas about Dark Energy/Matter/Gravity/whatever. There isn't a real consensus about this, though most scientists seem to be favouring Dark Matter rather than modified gravity.

There are good science news sources out there. Daily Galaxy isn't one of them. This was a typical example of the sort of overly sensationalist, terribly written article that they produce that isn't even news (what they're talking about was presented at a conference in 2013, based on a paper...

    Forum problems?

Well, it's happened twice in two weeks now I think and it's been down the whole weekend both times - presumably nobody's around to fix it in the weekend? Is anyone investigating why it's happening and doing anything to try to prevent it? (e.g. does the database need rebuilding, or does the forum...

    Forum problems?

Is this something we can expect to keep happening? (what version of Phpbb is this forum running anyway? It's on 3.0.12 now, but I get the feeling the Mongoose Boards are still on 2.something)

    Forum problems?

Were the forums down for anyone else this weekend? Same thing happened a couple of weekends ago, all I got was an error saying the SQL database had crashed.

    Jump Bubbles

So don't defend anything else except the mainworld - the only border that matters is the one between the planet's atmosphere/Low Orbit and space anyway, the gas giant is irrelevant (unless it's the only source of hydrogen in the system, which is very unlikely). If anyone comes to attack the...

[Jon Brazer Enterprises] What Are You Interested In?

There is a "Special Supplement" for the vehicles book that covers Biotech. It's not spaceships, but it's something... http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/special-supplement-1-biotech-vehicles.html

    Spinward Traveller. Kickstarter Coming

You can't have seen any of the good Star Trek fan shows then. Spinward Traveller looks terribly amateur to me, the Star Trek shows I would call at least 'semi-professional' in quality.

    FTL Communication?

The length of a time that a game is around for has nothing to do with its quality. A suggestion for you though - perhaps you could consider enjoying Traveller while not sneering at other RPGs?

    Spinward Traveller. Kickstarter Coming

Or maybe you could be less sensitive about other peoples' opinions? Nobody's stopping you from liking whatever you like after all. And again, nobody's really been 'bad mouthing' MGT or Traveller here for its own sake. And I agree with the sentiment that something should not be supported just...

    Spinward Traveller. Kickstarter Coming

I have no idea what you're going on about. Nobody's badmouthing MGT here. You're one of the few then.

    Spinward Traveller. Kickstarter Coming

T5's almost-instantaneously successful funding is a prime example of how blindly funding something can still produce a really bad product. Unfortunately a good chunk of the Traveller fanbase isn't particularly discerning about the material they acquire. Maybe people have learned their lesson...
