Thanks for the reply Matthew. It's great to know that the legacy volumes will not be forgotten. I hope that will happen soon-ish as I'd love to complete my collection. Apologies about my categorising of the new RPG edition as a card game.

Let me start off by saying I'm a game collector and Paranoia fan. I embraced 1st and 2nd editions with gusto (even if I found some of the later 2nd ed. supplements rather uninspired. I even own a copy of the 5th edition Rulebook, which is even more uninspired if that's possible. Years later...

In al honesty, the Little Red Book was not worth the paper it was printed on. It did not contain everything a troubleshooter needed to play. If you're a completist and have to have it, don't pay a red cent more than the cover price for it. Its only real worth is in its curiousity value.

The illustrations that I have seen from the new range of books are one of the things that stopped me from buying them. They are far too reminiscent of the 5th edition rulebook. Better executed, but they still have that 'comic book' feel to them.

According to the newsletter I got last night, there are only 50 copies left in stock at Mongoose...

If that's the case it's not really a limited edition, is it? The web page does say 1000 copies... You'd think if they could do thta. they would have left the modules that were only available for 10 minutes accesible so people could complete their sets. I agree, the illustrations smack a bit...

Yes, it is a good sign. The banner seems to have gone and the product is still on sale past the deadline, and discounted too! I've decided I will buy the 8 books I'm missing as PDFs (unless I see hard copies on sale at a good price) and I probably won't be buying the new revision of the game...

Good question, that's why I raised the issue that they were still saying that they were discontinuing sales. All we need now is an answer.

Therein lies the rub. I'd love hard copies of the complete run. I have everything up to the last eight books on the Paranoia web page. However buying them will cost me more than double the cost of the new book, so if War on [Insert Noun], Mandatory Mission Pack, Alpha Complex Nights 2, The Thin...
