Hi guys, Quick question: how compatible are the 1e Third Imperium supplements with 2e? I notice they are mostly still on sale, so that implies they are not obsolete. Am I right to assume that all the setting material and system stats are transferable? Thoughts appreciated.

Peripherally related to this discussion, I find the text as written contradictory: p.58 p.59 Which is it? Surely the "making an accurate shot in the middle of a storm" example is a Bane? As for the technicality and value of Boon/Bane, it's a simpler rule to remember - is some factor...

Personally, I don't truly mind either way (other than O1 becoming largely superfluous as a rank), but I do think it needs a ruling. Until I hear otherwise, I'll stick with MgT1 - Commission roll means no Advancement roll.

If you make a Commission roll and succeed, do you get to make an Advancement roll too? In other words, can you get to Officer Rank 2 in the same term? Or does a Commission roll replace an Advancement roll? It would be good to clarify.
