Yes, and as it is the same as my signature, we don't disagree, but when it comes to consistency and holistic system design in Mongoose Traveller, I refer you to the noted scholar and gentleman, Wesley. "Get used to disappointment." ;)

@Geir is the author. I'd imagine he did give High Guard a look. He's pretty on the ball about this kind of stuff, even if he can't spell Stirling. ;)

With as many rules that belong in High Guard scattered all over the place (and which will likely eventually make their way into High Guard) I don't think you should reject them out of hand. The page before the one referenced is actually one that should be taken into account as well.

    Ask MongooseMatt ANYTHING!!!

Thanks for the reply. Tagging @MasterGwydion because he and I wrangled over this a while back. Looks like the answer is whatever we want it to be. ;)

    Ask MongooseMatt ANYTHING!!!

Okay, @MongooseMatt, I have a question about the Mongoose Traveller calendar. The Core Rulebook defines what a week is (approx 168 hours) and a month is the same as a maintenance period (there is an entry that says 8 weeks is 2 months). The question I have is about the year. Nowhere does it...

    Travellers Needed! High Guard Updates

There might not really be a difference between months and maintenance periods as I found this in the Core Rules. A Study Period is equal to eight weeks (or two months) of study and practice. I think the number of months in a year is still vague, but a week is 168 hours. There is a quote in the...

    Travellers Needed! High Guard Updates

As a GM, you can do as you like. I don’t even disagree with anything you said. This isn’t about maintenance; it’s about expenses. Since expenses are based on 4-week maintenance periods—except the mortgage—I’ll stand by my request to have it moved to the same measure as the rest of the expenses...

    Roll20 Release Dates

Following up on this, @MongooseMatt. When might we see The Third Imperium on Roll20? Additionally, if you are going to be spreading out the release of the other books in the pipeline (which is sad), when might we see which books? A release schedule will stop me from nagging. Just saying. ;)

    Travellers Needed! High Guard Updates

Actually, the Core Rulebook spells it out precisely when it comes to weeks. Now, what a week is is pretty vague. That’s pretty much why I think they should move the mortgage to maintenance periods. A starship operator faces many costs every four weeks, which must be paid in order to carry on...

    Travellers Needed! High Guard Updates

Another suggested change. Move mortgages to be calculated off 4-week maintenance periods like everything else. As Mongoose Traveller doesn’t define months or days in a year, this is cleaner and more consistent. If it is based on 365 days, you could have Holiday and 13 4-week maintenance...

Agricultural Manufacturing Raw Materials from Asteroid Mining (or Fuel Refining?)

Yes, yes! Let the power of the fabricator flow through you!

Agricultural Manufacturing Raw Materials from Asteroid Mining (or Fuel Refining?)

And if you simply must have a robotic fabricator, I can stuff one that can make size 6 robots into a size 8 robotic body. It even has carouse and persuade to get more sales! "How about them Imperials this year? I think they are going all the way!"

Agricultural Manufacturing Raw Materials from Asteroid Mining (or Fuel Refining?)

As robots are size limited to size 8, it would need to be a vehicle, which introduces other issues and costs. I could build them, but instead, I give you the Fabricator Attendant. It is skilled in designing patterns for users in a commercial setting and can display them holographically and with...

In this case, it would be a matter of having the hardware already at hand. Smelters do do the work, but this would be another option if one didn't desire having both.
